Professional Development
I am a firm believer that as teachers we are trying to equip our students to be life-long learners that can make a difference in the world that they will be adults in. This requires us to help them learn the skills required to be creative and innovative in an ever increasing and changing world. Having said that I believe just because we as an educator with a tertiary degree should our learning stop as well.
I am a believe that as teachers we are researches and learners as well, and I encourage other teachers to embrace their own professional growth through Action Research. This may be initiated from a course that has been attended, a post read on different PLN sources, or even observing a colleague teaching, discussion or being creative and innovative that impacts students learning. Here you will find professional development I have attended, presented and reflected on. As well as different workshops I have ran over the years. In addition to this you will find a collection of my own professional writing as well. In the next coming months I hope to expand this with different white papers as well. |
